Keto diets and bread don’t really go in the same sentence. Well, until you make a keto bread. Not all taste great, but the recipe we have for you today will surely please your senses.
Bread is one food most people really miss when they go keto. It’s the perfect comfort food, especially if we’re talking about a homemade loaf of bread. We eat bread all the time, even though we know it’s not that good for us. You can’t make a sandwich without it, and a soft, warm loaf of bread is just too appealing to pass on. However, the problem with it is that bread is full of carbs – well, at least the one we get in the markets.
The healthy keto loaf of bread we have for you today is packed to the brim with nutrients and really “rich”. It will satisfy your hunger and is just like a quality loaf of bread but without all the carbs.
Types of Keto Bread
Grain-Free Bread
Grain-free bread recipes are few and far between, but they do exist. Gluten-free breads, for example, can be made with different flours or binders. Of course, the trick is to find a perfect combination of ingredients that will give the bread a nice texture and flavor as well. There are too many keto breads out there that are simply too runny or hard.
Paleo Bread
A gluten and grain-free type of bread, the paleo bread is made with tapioca flour or arrowroot flour. They give the loaf a great texture and flavor, but in general, these flours are a bit on the high side of things when it comes to carbs.
Low Carb Bread
A true keto loaf of bread should be low on carbs and have a great texture and flavor. But, can this be done? Well, if you’re ready to experiment a bit, it is. Due to the lack of gluten, you’ll need another binder. Flaxseeds and beef gelatin work great, and you can even use eggs. Of course, you’ll need to find the right balance of ingredients or it won’t work. Time for some kitchen experiments!

It really is the absolute best loaf of keto bread, and we have the recipe for you.
Ingredients
- Almond and coconut flour
- Coconut sugar
- Yeast
- Avocado oil
- Grass-fed butter

What You Need to Do
The yeast (instant) in the recipe isn’t used as a leavening agent, but for flavor. To prepare the bread, you’ll need to mix the ingredients altogether, similar to what you’d do for a cake. Since it doesn’t need time to rise, you can bake it immediately. Just be ready for the goodness that will come out of your oven in a short time.

Why Coconut Flour?
Coconut flour is a great baking ingredient. It has no gluten at all and is ideal for low-carb and paleo recipes. As the name suggests, coconut flour is made from ground coconut meat that’s been previously dried.
If you’re wondering what you can cook with this flour, the choices are vast. Since it absorbs a lot of liquid, it may cause your recipes to be a bit dry. So, make sure there’s enough liquid when cooking with this flour and mix it with other keto flours to subdue the coconut taste.
If you’re planning to use eggs as binders, don’t. Just use the right mix of coconut and almond flour for your bread along with instant yeast and a bit of psyllium husk powder. It will make the keto bread taste like real bread and give it a nice texture.
The gelatin will make it a bit chewy, and adding a few egg whites will improve its texture without making the bread taste too much like eggs.

Before starting, preheat the oven to 350F. Take a pan and line it with parchment paper, lightly spraying avocado oil on it. Stir in the 2 tablespoons of warm water, coconut sugar, and instant yeast in the mix and set everything aside for 10 minutes.
Mix the gelatin and 3 tablespoons boiling water and stir until everything dissolves. Add this to the melted ghee in another bowl, adding the egg whites, ACV, and liquid stevia in too. Now, stir this mixture with the dry ingredients and add ¾ cup of boiling water to the mix.
Pour the dough in the pan and leave it for a couple of minutes before sprinkling the sesame seeds on top. Bake it for around an hour and a half, then let it cool in an open oven for half an hour. Let it cool down completely before eating the loaf of keto bread.
